ANDI SHU HESTER (she/her) is a Half-Chinese comedy writer fluent in Mandarin. Two days after graduating from UCLA, she moved to Beijing on a one-way ticket and wound up as a TV host. Andi took this as a sign to pursue her secret dream of working in entertainment (and not be a CPA, sorry Mom). Andi has studied improv at UCB and Groundlings, competed in rap battles as Lil Dumpling, and now reigns the charts as comedy popstar andi babi.

She’s extremely proud and slightly obsessed with her Chinese heritage. Andi has staffed on a preschool series and has written freelance scripts for a number of 6-11 and preschool shows.

If it makes her more hire-able, Andi is the mom of a rambunctious young daughter. If it doesn’t, Andi is a carefree, ageless Asian here to up your show’s diversity.
